WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 2-SCREW AND A 4-SCREW LICENSE PLATE HOLDER?

2-Screw License Plate Holder

This holder secures the license plate using only the two top screws. While sufficient for securing the plate, the unfastened bottom edges tend to bend outward. This type is generally not ideal when using a license plate frame.

- Tip for 2-Screw Holders: If the lower part of the plate bends outward, remove the plate, place it face down on a flat surface, and slightly bend the center with two hands. When reinstalled, the plate will press against the holder, preventing it from bending outward.

4-Screw License Plate Holder

This holder secures the license plate using all four screws. It is the ideal choice when installing a license plate frame, as it provides secure attachment across the entire plate.

Compatibility:

Both license plate holders will work regardless of the height of the vehicle's grille. In most cases, the bottom section of the plate is positioned in front of the grille, while the top section is in front of the bumper.

EURO PLATE COMPATIBLE? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Our 2-screw plate holder is design so that it is completely hidden behind a European license plate. A euro plate consist of the plate and the plastic frame that holds it. The frame can be fastened onto the 2-screw plate holder using just the two screws. Euro plate frames are NOT included with our license plate brackets.

WHY DO YOU REQUIRE A PHOTO OF THE GRILLE ALONG WITH THE YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF THE VEHICLE?

Most vehicles, even with the same Year, Make and Model, could have different grilles. Requiring a photo of the grille helps us accurately recommend the correct bracket and verify compatibility before shipping.

WILL I RECEIVE A TRACKING NUMBER AND WHEN?

Yes, on the day your bracket ships which is usually after 1-3 days (Unless during “PRE-ORDERS ONLY” period).

I JUST RECEIVED MY BRACKET LESS THAN 14 DAYS AGO BUT WANT TO EXCHANGE THE 2-SCREW HOLDER FOR THE 4-SCREW HOLDER. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Order the 4-screw Riser for $24.99 plus shipping. Ship back the 2-screw holder via USPS First Class Mail. After we receive it you will be refunded $15.99 for the 4-screw Holder which makes the holder $9 as the price of it when it was originally offered during the initial purchase of the bracket.

2. Missing Information If we request additional grille details to verify compatibility and do not receive a reply, we may need to cancel the order. Clear communication is essential, and most of our customers appreciate the extra effort we take to ensure a successful fitment.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Sly Brackets LLC has a 14-day return Policy. Returning brackets would need to be shipped out within 14 days from the day it was delivered. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please see our Terms and Conditions.

HOW DO I CHECK ON THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

You will be notified via email after your order has been received and when shipped. You can also Sign-in on our website using your email or by contacting us.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SHIPMENT IS DELAYED?

Delivery delays by mail carriers are beyond Sly Bracket’s control. However, we will assist in anyway we can to communicate with mail carriers if the tracking number of an order does not show any new updates for more than 7 days. Sly Brackets is not responsible for any delivery issues with international shipping once the package leaves a United States mail facility.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY TRACKING NUMBER SHOWS “DELIVERED” BUT I DO NOT SEE MY PACKAGE?

We do not file claims for Missing Packages that have "Delivered" status. Please contact your local post office for assistance in locating your package.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT YOUR BRACKET FITS ON ONE VEHICLE AND ALSO FITS ON A TOTALY DIFFERENT VEHICLE?

Most vehicles either have mesh or horizontal slats grille. The brackets are basically designed to be versatile and therefore universal to fit most mesh or slat grille types. What most people are concerned about is how deep their grille is from the bumper. So, each bracket includes spacers and extenders that can be used. The license plate holder is vertically adjustable giving you the option to what height of the plate looks better to you.

HOW DO I CHECK TO SEE IF MY VEHICLE HAS ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTERS?

Active Grille Shutters are horizontal slats that open and closes while the vehicle is in motion. The best way to check is to shine a light onto the lower grille and see if there are other horizontal slats behind it. You can also take different angled close-up cellphone photos of the lower grille with the flash on and email or text the photos to us so we can help.

I INSTALLED THE BRACKET AND FOUND OUT THAT MY VEHICLE ACTUALLY DO HAVE AN ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER. HOW DO I GET A SHORTER MOUNT?

When you first ordered the the bracket you would have been asked to check for ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTERS. To receive a customized mount place a second order with the ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER measurements and ship back the first bracket. You will be refunded for the price of the first bracket when returned. Shipping is none-refundable.

CAN THE BRACKET BE LEFT ON WHEN GOING THROUGH A CARWASH?

On most cars the plate holder section of the bracket can be installed as close as possible to the car/grille/bumper so the plate is not sticking out which makes it safer to go through carwashes. Adding a metal plate frame to protect the plate from bending is also ideal.
